Purpose of the tool
With the help of the GARDENA electronic rain sensor, automatic watering takes natural precipitation into account. Irrigation does not start when it rains, or stops when it rains while watering. The optoelectronic operating principle enables a quick response to the onset of precipitation, saving water from the tap or tank.
Installation method and cost
The rain sensor can be fixed with a stake in the flower bed or placed on a solid surface. The GARDENA electronic rain sensor is supplied with a 5 m connection cable and plug. A 9 V alkaline battery is required for operation (not included). This ensures effective measurements for approximately one year.
